Amazon Aurora, AWS’s MySQL-compatible relational database, is introducing two new and highly useful features:

Invoke Lambda Stored Procedures

You may now write stored procedures that can call Lambda functions. This functionality makes Amazon Aurora doubly useful, as it lets you connect with other AWS services.

You can use it to send an email using Amazon SES , or send publish metrics to Amazon CloudWatch, or update a table on DynamoDb, and so on. You can find out more about this feature in the documentation.

Load Data from S3 to Amazon Aurora

To maker it easier for S3 users to transfer data from their buckets directly to Aurora. There is no longer any need to go through EC2. You may do this via text form or XML form.

These features are free and available for use today. If you would like to build a secure and highly -accessible cloud database for your enterprise, contact our PolarSeven cloud consultants today.
