AWS WAF Provides Added Security

Admins who regularly check their web server logs will most likely view tons of illegal requests from unknown parties, requests that could have attacked your websites vulnerabilities had they pushed through. As these attacks becoming more persistent and sophisticated over time, you simply can’t fall behind in patching and updating security measures.

To help its clients, AWS has provided an extra level of security for all its applications by introducing AWS Web Application Firewall (WAF). The WAF protects web apps from common exploits used to bring down servers. By implementing a rules system, it gives you the power to quickly block certain traffic and common attacks, like SQL injection and cross-site scripting.

For compliance purposes, every rule you make also creates metrics for AWS CloudWatch. And as with all AWS services, you only pay for what you use—WAF charges you for the number of rules you deploy and requests that you make.

AWS WAF is now available for use. If you have further concerns about cloud security for your company, you don’t have to look far for help. Contact our cloud security experts at PolarSeven today.
