AWS Lightsail
AWS continues to improve its services, and has done so once again for Amazon Lightsail and Cloud Directory.

Amazon Lightsail lets customers easily launch Virtual Private Servers in the AWS cloud. You simply pay $5 monthly and AWS takes care of the rest of the details for you.

Now, Amazon Lightsail is introducing its very own global console. This console lets you create resources across different AWS Regions. You can see all your servers in a single page and manage them all.

Also, Amazon Lightsail has opened into four Asia-Pacific Regions. Here they all are:

  • US East (Northern Virginia)
  • US West (Oregon)
  • US East (Ohio)
  • EU (London)
  • EU (Frankfurt)
  • EU (Ireland)
  • Asia Pacific (Mumbai)
  • Asia Pacific (Tokyo)
  • Asia Pacific (Singapore)
  • Asia Pacific (Sydney)

In addition, Amazon Cloud Directory has gotten a very important update as well. Cloud Directory is AWS’s directory for hierarchical data with the ability to store millions of objects, making it useful for many kinds of mobile applications.

AWS is improving Cloud Directory by providing support for typed links that create object-to-object relationships across hierarchies. You can define different types of links for all existing directories, as well as a set of attributes. Typed links let you keep the integrity  of referential data by making sure related objects don’t get deleted by accident.

The enhancements are all available now. If you would like to apply AWS services to your business, contact our experts here at PolarSeven today.
