Clik here to view.AWS is well known for a host of services that enable AWS IoT, edge computing, Amazon Machine Learning, AWS Greengrass, and Alexa for connected vehicles. AWS clients have eagerly adopted these technologies to create the future of transportation, particularly the ACES initiative.
ACES stand for:
- Autonomous – vehicles are able to act on their own using scanning and mapping technology without the need for human input.
- Connected – connected vehicles may bidirectionally communicate with other vehicles and to the cloud. They may then track traffic and weather as needed.
- Electric – Electric vehicles help preserve the environment while being more cost-effective.
- Shared – facilitates car owners sharing a ride as a service.
AWS Greengrass, in particular, has been in demand in terms of automated vehicles. Aptiv has been using it for their Automated Mobility on Demand service. Meanwhile, Denso of Japan employs both Greengrass and AWS IoT to support their Mobile as a Service venture.
You can learn more about this initiative in the AWS for Automotive page. If you want a solution for connected vehicles, you can check out AWS Connected Vehicle Solution.
