Amazon EC2 has announced they have released high memory instances with 6, 9, and 12 TB of RAM. These allow you to use SAP HANA services on a far bigger scale or use it to create production systems that give enterprise-level data protection and business continuity.

New EC2 Specifications:

Instance Name Memory Logical Processors

u-9tb1.metal 9 TiB 448 14 Gbps 25 Gbps
u-12tb1.metal 12 TiB 448 14 Gbps 25 Gbps

The logical processors listed are each a hyperthread on one of the 224 physical CPU cores.

All of the listed sizes are powered by the latest Intel Xeon Platinum 8176M processors with 2.1 GHz.

These instances are available as EC2 Dedicated Hosts for launch within a new or existing Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).

These instances are all EBS optimized and provide reliable access to both encrypted and unencrypted EBS volumes. You may select either Provisioned IOPS, General Purpose (SSD), or Streaming Magnetic volumes. You may also choose the size and number of volumes to attach to each instance.
