Amazon Workspaces allows you to gives users to access documents and other files using their own supported machines and mobile devices. Now, Workspaces has been upgraded with the following new features:
You may now bring your own Windows license to Workspaces. This means you can run Windows 7 OS on your own dedicated machine. Please note that there are some stipulations, such as needing an EA agreement with Microsoft. Please refer to the Workspaces FAQ for a full description.
Workspaces has its own Chromebook Client app. If you’re a Google Chromebook user, you will have an easier time browsing through Workspaces. The app itself runs on ARM and Intel chipsets and with at least version 45 of Chrome OS.
You may now encrypt the storage volumes for Workspaces through KMS. The Key Management System lets you secure your drives with your own personal key. Very useful for security compliance purposes.
