To ring in the New Year, AWS is happy to announce that prices have been reduced for EC2 instances. This is the 51st price reduction since AWS began.
AWS has lowered the On-Demand, Reserved and Dedicated host prices for C4, M4, and R3 type of instances. For C4 and M4 running Linux, price reduction is by 5% for US, Europe, and Asia Pacific regions.
Similarly, prices have been reduced by 5% for R3 instances running Linux for the same regions, plus South America and the AWS GovCloud.
Smaller reductions have been given to the above instance types for Windows, SLES, and RHEL for the same regions.
At the same time, AWS has announced that they have updated Cost Explorer to reflect EC2 usage data.
You may filter and group your report results for easier viewing and analysis of your usage costs in AWS. Specifically, you can filter and group them according to EC2 instance type and region. The data is broken down into EC2 instances, Elastic Load Balancing, and EBS.
All these new features are currently available.
You too can cut costs for your enterprise by using AWS EC2. Contact our cloud consultants at PolarSeven today for more details.
