ElastiCache for Redis Gains Upgrades

AWS ElastiCache, a service that simplifies the use and deployment of an in-memory cloud database, uses both Redis and Memcached engines. Now, AWS is proud to announce an update: unlike before, you can now scale up to a larger node while keeping your stored data intact.

You may scale up by choosing Cache Cluster in the AWS Management Console, then click modify. If you wish to upgrade your engine, you may also select a new Redis engine and click Modify.

This feature is available today, and you can learn more by visiting the Scaling Your Redis Cluster documentation. As always, if you want to migrate your database to the cloud, visit us at PolarSeven and hear about how we can do that for you.
